CBD, or Cannabidiol, is the second most prevalent chemical compound found in the cannabis plant. It's a type of cannabinoid, which are the chemicals naturally found in marijuana (cannabis) plants and are also found naturally in our bodies. Even though CBD is in marijuana plants, CBD doesn't create a "high" effect or intoxication (like the other found cannabinoid THC).
If you are just starting out, we recommend trying our Organic CBD Tinctures, CBD Gummiez, CBD Lotion, and CBD Pain Relief Gel!
Full Spectrum means the maximum amount of helpful native phytochemicals are retained during the extraction process, meaning that all the compounds from the cannabis plant, including THC and other cannabinoids, are prevalent. Therefore, creating what is known as the Entourage Effect, (This is a theory that says when multiple components of cannabis work together, you reap more benefits than when taking each individually. These components include phytocannabinoids (like CBD and THC), flavonoids, and terpenes (compounds that affect cannabis’s scent)). There are no precise definitions of full-spectrum, but the goal is to remove extraneous lipids while retaining an identical ratio of cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from the original plant source material. (This can only be verified by testing the material before and after the extraction.)
Broad Spectrum applies to extractions which aim to retain a large complement of phytochemicals, but without the THC compound. This allows for some Entourage Effect action without the stigma and intoxication that accompanies cannabis’ most notorious component THC. Broad spectrum can also be created by either adding terpenes, flavonoids, and minor cannabinoids to CBD isolate or by removing THC from full spectrum extract via distillation.
Isolate is the purest form of extracted CBD cannabinoids, a crystalline powder with a purity of 99.9%. It is created through additional solvent processes after distillation. CBD Isolate is strictly CBD with NO other added compounds (like THC, terpenes, etc.) Therefore, it's CBD in its purest form.
So why use any of them?
Since Full-Spectrum has CBD cannabinoids, THC (<0.3%) cannabinoids, and other terpenes from the hemp plant, it has more beneficial health benefits that come with each of the compounds. One of the biggest benefits of full-spectrum CBD is that you’ll get what’s known as the Entourage Effect. This is a theory that says when multiple components of cannabis work together, you reap more benefits than when taking each individually. These components include phytocannabinoids (like CBD and THC), flavonoids, and terpenes (compounds that affect cannabis’s scent).
If you want to maximize the benefits of cannabis, full-spectrum CBD could be your best bet.
Broad Spectrum is the happy middle of the three CBD choices. It will give you similar health benefits to full-spectrum, since it contains both CBD and other terpenes. But since broad spectrum contains NO THC, it won't give you the altered effects that THC is known for.
CBD Isolate is for the people that want to try CBD but are iffy on THC. Since CBD Isolate is strictly CBD in its purest form, with NO other added terpenes or THC, it will not have any psychoactive effects and can be taken in larger doses. It may be a suitable product for first-time CBD users who wish to experiment with the potential health benefits, without altered effects of THC or other cannabinoids.
THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol, is the first found chemical compound in the cannabis plant. THC is responsible for marijuana's (cannabis) psychological effects, which is what gets you "high" and causes a sense of euphoria and intoxication. However, it acts much like the cannabinoid chemicals that we make naturally in our body. Therefore, the THC binds with the cannabinoid 1 receptors in our brain, and produces a "high" like euphoria and increases our dopamine receptors. This is also what separates CBD from THC, only THC can bind to the brain to create this "high" sense of euphoria.

Delta-8-THC has a lower psychotropic potency than its close cousin Delta-9 THC (mentioned above), meaning that it doesn't give you as much of a "high" intoxicating effect. Think of Delta-8-THC as being the white wine vs Delta-9-THC being the red wine. Making Delta-8-THC perfect for anyone interested in trying THC for the first time. Delta-8-THC also has been linked to help with people experiencing nausea and appetite loss.
